Throughout my journey, I’ve been gaining lessons from the Word of God and from each of you. This day with God in reading Isaiah 47, I’m keeping Jesus in mind because He is the perfect example to provide the Way, the Truth, and the life.
In previous studies along the journey, Jerusalem had been put in bondage. As the invitation to Baylon in today’s passage suggest, in a short time God will turn things around. He will bring vengeance (v. 3).
The metaphors to depict Babylon’s fate include no longer being called queen of kingdoms (v. 5). They would be depicted as a woman who has lost her family and without husband or children (v. 9). Another comparation is that Babylon would be consumed by a fire and be like stubble (v. 14).
Life can be a load as we face loss, opposition, abandonment, and despair but this load can be lifted when we accept the help from the Lord. The Way to liberty and victory is to step ahead on the path that He has set.
Only the Lord can make a person feel secure. We shouldn’t be overconfident in our own abilities but trust the ONE who made heaven and earth and by writing the law of Christ in our heart, there is peace and everlasting joy.
This day with You Lord, we follow the path that leads us to where we need to go. The sure Way that has been proven over and over to lead us to liberty and victory. The Way of Truth that sets us free from past bondage. We pray today in the name of Jesus who is absolute Truth and gives us fullness in life now and throughout eternity. Amen.

Amen! “Life can be a load as we face loss, opposition, abandonment, and despair but this load can be lifted when we accept the help from the Lord. The Way to liberty and victory is to step ahead on the path that He has set.” Blessings.
