The Lord is the Ultimate Reward

Isaiah prophesied in a time when Jerusalem was spiritually corrupt, and they needed a deliverer. Reading today in Isaiah 62 the advice is to be prepared, on watch, and ready for the coming of the the ultimate reward in the Lord.

The Lord has made proclamation
To the ends of the earth:
“Say to Daughter Zion,
‘See, your Savior comes!
See, his reward is with him,
And his recompense accompanies him.’” – Isaiah 62:11

Isaiah the prophet was determined to continue speaking because a bright future would be assured for those who believed in the Lord. The Lord values everyone and delights in all who are humbly willing to accept the Savior and ask for forgiveness.

In current times, we know that this prophecy of a Savior came to fulfilment. There is one common thread that binds us; the power of Christ our Savior who we follow. This day let us accept the stream of grace that helps us go in one direction, that brings us together and heals our land.

Only God can look at somebody’s heart and see value when others may not. He values everyone so much that He sent Jesus Christ to die for all. This should change our attitude towards all people; even those who disagree with us or hurt us.

Speaking with certainty about how much God values each person arouses in those not yet accepting the Lord’s way to change course and start following His way with joyful confidence.

Lord, You are our ultimate reward. We are never 100 percent debt free but with Jesus there is recompence. You thought so highly of us that You sent Jesus to provide the way to wash away our sin and be debt free. May we always be on alert with our attention undivided to the path Jesus has provided. Amen.
