Christmas Star

The presents at Christmas are short term but God’s presence is forever.

Just like the wise men
Looking for Jesus again
Gaze for a star today
To lead the way

Search with persistence
Even under resistance
The star may be a friend
Or new song to send

The star may be a sermon topic
Inspiring many to be philanthropic
The star may be a Bible verse
So negative thoughts disperse

Find what can’t be seen
The intangibles we glean
Invest in one another
To help us go further

And to be led to Jesus
The ONE born for all of us
So the Spirit is among us
Turning a negative to a plus

Born for the person next door
In need of being cared for
Born for a colleague
Distressed from fatigue

Receive the gift for our questions
As the Spirit gives suggestions
A gift for our struggles
And all our troubles

For the negative past is undone
By accepting His Son

As we are getting near the end of the year and start thinking about next year, here is another post in the God’s Plan for Us series. Every day we have greater opportunities than we have ever had before simply because we are the beneficiaries of the past.

The foundation of meeting our basic needs provides us with lessons for not only meeting these needs but also in obtaining abundance in our lives.

The first part of meeting needs is to believe you can receive it. The bible tells us that we should have confidence in God and that if we ask anything according to his will, He hears us. To ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock…

Memories and Dreams

This day with God, we can build great memories that last forever to help in times of worry or anger. We can reminisce about good times or an old song to fill our thoughts with peace and joy.

Dream About Your Potential for Greatness

As we get close to the end of the year and think about next year, I’ll reblog some post about God’s Plan for Us. This post has some ideas on determining a game plan or purpose and setting goals toward that purpose. When our thoughts are pointed to God, we are prepared, confident, and feel an inner peace because the Kingdom of God is within us.

Many famous people give us examples of how a dream can turn into reality even with many obstacles in their way. Christopher Columbus didn’t know the world was round but he had a good hunch it was so he acted on that belief with courage. As he set out to find a better route to China, he discovered America. Thomas Edison failed over 9,000 times before he invented the light bulb. Yet from that point forward he went on to receive 1,093 patents, more than any other person in U.S. history. Ray Kroc was 52 years old and in bad health when he started McDonald’s. At its high point, a new McDonald’s was opening every 5 hours somewhere in the world.

Leonardo De Vinci was a great artist but he also had a system for getting things done. The man that painted the “Last Supper” also created the…
