Questions for Reflection for Study of Numbers 33-36

We are nearing the end of our journey through the book of Numbers four more chapters to go. We will continue to be focused on the purpose of this blog as we continue to use it in helping us to apply His Word in our life.  I’ve found it to be a great tool in my journey through the Bible and you, my readers are keeping me accountable to daily Bible reading and study.

We live in a busy world with busy schedules and being able to share some thoughts about this journey with others across this world through the Internet is truly a blessing. Questions for Reflection will stimulate thought and offer ideas for applying biblical principles at work, at home, and in all we do.

Anyone can join in as we journey together.

Also, the concepts presented in God’s Perfect Timing offer ideas for using our time wisely and the lessons of God’s Plan for Us gives a method towards making an impact in the world in which we live.

The reading plan below will be used to hold me accountable to sharing about God’s word. As I share about my study of the book of Leviticus over the next few weeks, it’s important to have a plan. I’m thankful that Jesus is God’s plan for us and by accepting Christ as Savior; we have taken the steps necessary to make this day amazing!

Questions for Reflection

Numbers 33-34
Why is documenting the journey the Israelites had been on so important? What instructions are given to Moses for the people as they pass over the Jordan into Canaan? What is needed to fulfill God’s Purpose in your life?

Numbers 35-36
How does God provide for justice to a person accused of a crime like murder? What problem comes up in chapter 36? How does Moses solve it? What actions can you take because of what you have learned from studying the book of Numbers?

Feel free to respond with a short note or a comment about any of the questions above. Also, I welcome any other thoughts or ideas, favorite inspirational videos, photos, or favorite Bible verses. Just add them to the comments or to a Facebook page I’ve set up at this link: This Day With God.

Desire and Fire

This day with God, obtain the desire and fire to fulfill a purpose. Be inspired to step ahead by overcoming obstacles, disregarding criticisms, and gaining momentum.

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – His good, pleasing and perfect will. – Romans 12:2

Written about in the post “Committed” was that the sons of Reuben and Gad had a desire to settle on the east side of Jordan so they passionately propositioned Moses and Eleazer about their wishes. For the land on the east side of the Jordan was suitable for their large herds and flocks with good pasture land.

As you set your priorities along the journey, there are times when you may have a desire and the fire or passion to fulfill a purpose God has for you but you may want to stay committed to your brothers and sisters in Christ.

Get Your Worship On With An Uplifting Song

This day with God, get in the right frame of mind and back on track for an amazing day! Be freed from pessimism and be inspired by a video of the song “Beautiful Day” by Jamie Grace.

I can do everything through Him who gives me strength. – Philippians 4:13

As brought out in the post “Negative Influences”, God was on the side of the Israelites and sanctioned a war to rid them from the negative influences of the Midianites. He’s on our side today to help fight any negatives that try to confine our progress.

We get hit with so many negative thoughts on a daily basis. One idea is to get back on track with something positive like uplifting music. Take a few minutes to listen to praise music like Beautiful Day by Jamie Grace. Music can get us in the right frame of mind and back on track for an amazing day with God!

Rewards for Following the Way

This poem is about gaining momentum for a winning day. May God bring music for your ears, laughter for your soul, and a rainbow after every storm!

Mark Shields's avatarStep Ahead

Passion to your destiny,
Devotion to your call
Will lead you to a reward
Beneficial for all.

Keep your eye on the reward
And if there is a setback,
Remain confident in God
To help you with a comeback.

When the going gets tough,
Get a change to the outlook
And be keyed up
By the Good Book.

Telling you that the rainbow
Became the agreement
To never flood all the earth
As sins payment.

Reminded by the rainbow
After every storm
Of the victory in Jesus
Making the heart warm.

Desire and Fire

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – His good, pleasing and perfect will. – Romans 12:2

Written about in the post “Committed” was that the sons of Reuben and Gad had a desire to settle on the east side of Jordan so they passionately propositioned Moses and Eleazer about their wishes. As you set your priorities along the journey, there are times when you may have a desire and the fire or passion to fulfill a purpose God has for you but you may want to stay committed to your brothers and sisters in Christ.

As you determine what talent or gift you can best use in building up Christ and the church or do your thing for God’s glory, take inspiration from the song Different by Micah Tyler. Desire to be set apart, be change, and have a passion for sharing. Break the worldly pattern of seeking worldly desires and start something different that is in God’s will – His good, pleasing and perfect will.
