Perfect in all of Your Ways

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. – Proverbs 3:5-6

A moving target makes success very unlikely. What if the bases where never in the same place in baseball and we didn’t know where first base was or where second base was?  There wouldn’t be a chance to get to home base and not many runs would be scored would they?

Unfortunately, we constantly receive conflicting information in this game of life.

Just as it is important to know where the bases are in a baseball game to win, it’s even more important to know the rules in life. Fortunately, we have God’s Word as our rule book.

So this day, work together with fellow believers and build up the kingdom. Know the most important rule is that you are loved by God because of accepting His Son as Savior. Receive inspiration from today’s video: Good, Good Father – Chris Tomlin.

Knowing and Trusting

The request of David in Psalm 16 is for safety and he is confident that his request will be fulfilled because of the trust he has gained in God. Over his lifetime, David has experienced God’s counsel, protection, and path to life. Even in death, David knows that God will not abandon him.

We should have this same attitude as we journey through life. Like the trust in God that David demonstrates in today’s Psalm, we should be assured that God is with us always. We can have confidence right now, tomorrow, and for eternity because of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

This day with You Lord, we know and trust You just as David in today’s passage. You give Your believers a great benefit because instructions to the path of life are given in Your Word. Growing out from this knowledge is confidence, poise, and joy. We know You are in control today and that the pathway You have set before us leads to an amazing future. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Greatest Reward

Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. – Revelation 22:12

The greatest reward in life is Jesus in our heart. The post “Internalizing His Principles” describes how to obtain this great reward that allows us to fellowship with God throughout our day.

This day, believe that God has a great plan for you and He will set things up so everything will fall into place. It all starts with receiving a plan from Him through faithful, consistent, and powerful prayer. Here is a video poem to start you toward an amazing day: This Day with God.

Internalizing His Principles

The way to fellowship with God as explained in Psalm 15, is to do the following:

Speak the truth
Be righteous
Treat others right
Keep promises
Give to the needy
Be a person of integrity.

The above qualities are from God and we apply our faith by planting the seeds of His principles into our heart. If there are areas that need improvement, memorize scripture to help. When challenged, the mind will be prepared for action because God’s principles are internalized.

As God’s Word is internalized, the heart of a champion is developed which produces the fruits of the Spirit. God is then with us to take on the challenges we face and with God, we can sincerely believe that each obstacle can be overcome and enthusiastically act upon each task until completion; celebrating progress throughout each day by praising Him.

Father God, we ask for help in following Your will. Help us to make a comeback if faced with setbacks. Help us to keep at it by setting our eyes on the reward. Because of Jesus in our heart, we can fellowship with You throughout our day as we work to continuously develop the heart of a champion. We believe the breaks will start going our way as we build momentum throughout each hour of this day. We will use the weapon of Your Word to overcome the enemy and produce the fruits of the Spirit. Amen.

Destiny

Many times, all it take is having the courage to dream and accepting the help God gives in the Holy Spirit to meet our destiny. Have a wonderful weekend as you dream big my friends!

Mark Shields's avatarStep Ahead

To plan, to think;
To give it some thought
And always delivering
Our very best shot.

It takes courage
To handle the test
And take action
Towards our best.

But we have a Helper
In the Holy Spirit
Giving confidence
To go after it.

Once we all start
Momentum develops
Keeping us going toward
Something to relish.

Improving upon weaknesses
By facing them at all lengths.
Never being embarrassed
As we build on our strengths.

Knowing what needs to improve
And using this information
As a tool to steer all
Towards the destination.
