Glorious Morn

A glorious morn is dawning so let us prepare our hearts and minds to collect knowledge from God’s word. His grace keeps flowing so we can go to Him in prayer at any time or any place. We can ask in prayer that good thoughts are absorbed internally and naturally flow outward as activities that benefit our life at work and home. We can get direction about life from Holy Spirit as we pray for how we live it!

The first step towards living today is to focus on the praise found in Psalm 48. How God protects His people and will guide them to victory. The psalmist requested that the people have faith in God and worship Him. To tell others the Good News so the next generation knows about how God has delivered them from defeat in the past and will bring victories in the future.

The great city of Jerusalem was not like other cities. An enemy could only approach the city from the north since it was protected in the other directions from deep valleys. It was built like a fortress with towering walls surrounding the city but its greatest protector was God.

This day with God, let us convey to those around us about God’s Plan For Us. God has great things planned so let us each take responsibility for having the right priorities, good values, and character traits in order to be protected from defeat and guided to victory. Let us have faith in His word, hope in His church, and accept His love for us through Christ.

This day with You Lord, we have faith in Your plan for us. Help us to see the need to collect knowledge from Your word but also apply this knowledge in how we live. Then produce fruit by not only learning but sharing our knowledge with others and inviting them to follow. To do what we say and give an example for others to following the Way. Amen.

Poetry Friday 10-28-2022

A poem posted at my other blog Step Ahead is inspired by the post “Combined Strength of the Whole”. The thought is that together each individual provides something to the cause. The Holy Spirt provides a means to work together as ONE in Christ and the application of our faith then becomes combined excellence for God’s glory.

The journey can be a struggle but if we fall, we can be picked up by another. Take inspiration from the song Together by King & Country which points out that we are bound by the triple-braided cord of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirt. We stand together bolder, braver, and stronger.

The Currency of the Kingdom

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich. – 2 Corinthians 8:9

A thought from “The Place of Grace” is that the currency of the Kingdom of God is grace. He’s an awesome King over all the nations of the world. He protects, knows what is best for us, and gives us the Holy Spirit to reign in our hearts. He’s interested not only in our future but the future of generation to come so that the road to success continues.

We celebrate today with the song O Praise Him by David Crowder Band. Praise the Lord for being our King. It is to Him we sing and embrace the place where the currency is grace.

The Place of Grace

Over a high vista
As we look out.
The beauty of Creation
Makes us shout.

In reading Psalm 47, God is shown to be king over all the earth. Can you imagine God as king over all the nations? Beyond that, think about a world in which He reigns in each individual’s heart as their gifts are used for His glory. If each individual would respond to God by using their gifts and applying their faith, the nations under Him would have a bright future because they would be going the way that leads to success.

The nations under God would be protected, prosperous, and would be provided for not only in the current generation but in future generations too. The Holy Spirit would guide and all decisions would be easy. The people would worship the ONE true God and the world would be a peaceful place. A place in which grace is the currency of the kingdom. Where the flow of grace from the Lord Jesus Christ is rewarding each individual with riches beyond what can be imagined.

That place of grace is within reach for all and to celebrate the victory that Christ brings, there are songs of praise that can keep the momentum going. If you can think of a song of praise, respond in the comments below so that many are blessed.

In this world, there are places that we don’t want to go. Many in this world have been to the valley of death where there are drugs, alcohol, pain, and much despair. This day with You Lord, we praise You for the place of grace in which we are rewarded beyond our imagination. We are reminded of the victory Christ brings to this new kingdom and because grace is the currency of this new place, we have momentum for many more victories down the road as we step ahead in faith. Amen.

Poise Under Pressure

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. – Matthew 11:28

What resonated with me in reading Psalm 46 and writing thoughts in “His Mighty Arms Protect From Harm” is that things in this world can shake us up and fear can hold us back but we can walk through any fire with godspeed and not get burned. Our trust in God is a big plus!

God is with us so we have poise under pressure. We can let go, hand the crisis over, and know that He will do the work to get us through. As the song We Won’t Be Shaken by Building 429 points out, the future is never clear but we are never alone so never ever fear. Our trust in God is a big plus and we will not be shaken for God is with us.
