Meaning to Life

In trying to answer some basic questions while studying Ecclesiastes 9, I’ve concluded that the sovereignty of God lends meaning to life. He provides what is good for us and is useful for others. His Word becomes the provision that satisfies the desires of the soul.

There is meaning in life because we can witness the power of God in our life and in others. We can witness amazing feats accomplished and learn mind-boggling facts of Creation. To take in what we see and write about these amazing facts of God is important because then there is more attention to what truly pollutes. The more emphasis on values given from God, the cleaner our world becomes.

As writers and readers of the Truth, one idea is to develop filters for the moral pollution of this world by separating what is good from what is bad. These filters take in what we consume through books, conversation, blogs, music, art, and other multi-media so that the poisonous unhealthy part is separated out. Then all that is left is the excellent, nutritious, and upright so it is good for the soul.

This day with God will be amazing because we can go to Him in prayer and ask for creativity and feel confident we will receive it because we are speaking to the CREATOR of it all.
