Restoration

This poem is inspired by Leviticus 14 in which restoration of a cleansed leper to the community is carried out. Because of Christ’s blood given as a token for the forgiveness of our sin, we are compelled to tell others about the healing rain from heaven that cleanses the soul.

Step Ahead

You know about the past,
You are aware
Of the present
And You Lord care.

You care for us
And in Your hands
Are our challenges
With all the demands.

You are the ONE,
The ONE we trust,
The ONE we count on,
The ONE who first loved us.

Because of the risen Christ,
You provide for us
And You guide us
Through the chaos.

With the Holy Spirit
We are prepared
For each encounter
And each task dared.

In telling others
What makes us whole!
The healing rain
That cleanses the soul.

I have been long absent on the scene but still sometimes find time to read posts of friends. I didn’t remember you writing poetry. One of the ways I used to regulatly study Scripture was to rewrite my reading each day as a poem or song. Much of what I wrote was lost to a crashed and unbackedup device. It saddens me a bit but the exercise served its purpose.

Thanks for reading. I believe poetry helps in facilitating the application of faith because it brings thoughts together to help the mind encourage the heart into tangible actions.
