We don’t have to jump through hoops to be approved by God. Jesus Christ of Nazareth changed everything; simply believing in His death and resurrection, gives immediate, constant, and forever acceptance.
Before God’s gift of His Son, there was a procedure as explained in Ezekiel 43:13-27 that everyone had to go through to be acceptable to God. It involved sacrificing burnt offerings and sprinkling blood upon the altar; a young bull would be given to the priests, a goat on the second day, and then for seven days in a row a male goat would be provided for a sin offering along with a young bull and a ram from the flock.
Today it’s much easier because we no longer have to offer atoning sacrifices. We don’t have to jump through hoops and spend large sums of money on livestock or spend days of waiting to be approved by God. Here’s a video to up lift as you spend this day with God: My Savior My God – Aaron Shust.
This day with God, I’m praying to have the courage to get honest and call sin by its true name; knowing that this provides the stage for cleansing in Jesus Christ and new freedom.

Excellent post! You get right to the heart of the matter. I love that song by Aaron Shust. I saw him in concert a few years ago with Jeremy Camp. He’s a great Godly performer. Peace, Linda

Just as we were made sinners in Adam, so we are made righteous in Christ. The Law was put into effect to show us that it is not all just Adam’s fault; we do the same thing as he. We break God’s laws daily. Salvation is wonderfully represented in the sacrificial system. All that blood was to remind us that it should be us, not some lamb or bull dead, splayed out and bleeding. For the wages of sin is death. Not a lambs death but mine. Jesus became that death for me on the cross. Amen. His blood is the only acceptable sacrifice in God’s eyes. And I am so glad, like you said that we don’t have to try to appease God any more by trying to obey the Law. Too many people think that they can, and so they try to earn God’s grace. 2 Cor 5:21 makes this clear. God’s Grace and speed.
