Ezekiel 4

Passage Lookup

Ezekiel uses symbolism to get attention. He demonstrates the siege and length of punishment to those already in exile so they will know what it will take to persist throughout. It’s important when under siege by the enemy to have a plan and specific actions to take for freedom.

Taking action gives others an example to follow and communicates much more effective than just telling them what to do. It also inspires others to greater achievement. Spend a few minutes taking a look at this video: What Can I Do by Paul Baloche.

Today, purposefully look for God in nature, music, sports, movies, at the golf course, work, the shopping center, and in His people. Document what you see. Collect facts,  quotes, and personal thoughts from your experiences. The purpose is to develop a system that highlights the building blocks of Christianity and that can be used as a tool to help focus more on God and step ahead.

It’s important to have a plan. I’m thankful that Jesus is God’s plan for us and by accepting Him as Savior, we have taken the steps necessary to make this day with Him amazing! At this link: God’s Plan for Us  is a word document that can be read, downloaded and signed by anyone that would like to accept God’s plan.

About Mark Shields

Mark volunteers as a member of the media ministry team at his church. A few years ago, he started an on-line Bible study guide called “This Day with God Devotional”. He uses this as a tool in his journey through the Bible. We live in a very busy world with busy schedules so this tool has helped him continue with daily Bible reading and study. Each of the studies are designed to help apply our faith in the work place, at school, or at home. Join him on this journey or check in every so often to read his thoughts.
