Reading for Today
Set some time aside; maybe 10-20 minutes each day for the next two days. Read Jonah 1 using your Bible or the passage lookup tool: Passage Lookup. After reading the passage for today, continue with the items below.
Question(s):
How does God recapture Jonah’s attention? What is God telling you through your present circumstances?

A hawk’s vision is so good that they can see a mouse from a height of one mile and on God’s shoulders your vision is like a hawk.
Application: What lesson has been learned or what are some plans of action I can take?
Jonah was a reluctant missionary who sought to flee from his duty. We can learn from today’s lesson that we need to pay attention to what God is calling us to do. Spend some time in prayer to seek plans of action for the day. Be thankful for the opportunity to talk to God about plans for a successful day.

Reaching the full potential in which God made you starts with prayer. The next step is to recognize there are two other components to success; one is following God’s will and the second is disciplined effort.
