Hope in You Lord

John explains in his vision that smoke fills the Temple in Revelation 5:7. The Temple expresses the very nature of God who is our hope. Like an anchor to help us hold course until the storm subsides or a candle that lights our path and lights other candles, our hope is in the Lord. Here is a link to a video that can bless you and start you out for a terrific day: My Hope is in You – Aaron Shust!

Qualities of His Presence

Reading in Revelation 15:5-8, we are being prepared for the seven Bowl Judgments that God will execute upon antichrist and his followers; fulfilling the prophecies and promises of His Word. The angels are prepared for their work, clothed with pure and white linen, their breasts girded with golden girdles, representing the holiness, and righteousness, and excellence. They are armed with the wrath of God against His enemies.

John sees one of the four living creatures give the seven Angels the seven golden bowls of wrath (v. 7). When this is done smoke fills the Temple which expresses the very nature of God. There is a cloud of glory that John expresses in this vision which is a visible manifestation of God’s presence. It would be impossible for anyone to enter the Temple until the seven plagues of the seven angels are completed (v. 8).

Even in dark or difficult times, God is present. We can rest assured that He will ultimately defeat His enemies so this day, let us lay out our concerns in prayer. Whether big or small and with great boldness, ask for help to execute His purpose.

Worship Him with Song

In the post Reward for Those Who Overcome, I wrote about God’s Day of Judgment. In the meantime, we should make sure we are doing our best to warn others and relay the message of God’s way of escape through His Son. Those who glorify His name because of the blood of the Lamb will overcome so let’s all be a part of this group called the overcomers.

The more we know God, the more we want to praise His greatness; He is majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, and works wonders with ease. Let us worship Him with song: Overcomer – Mandisa.

 The Lord will guide you always;
He will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land
   And will strengthen your frame.
You will be like a well-watered garden,
Like a spring whose waters never fail. – Isaiah 58:11

Reward for Those Who Overcome

Reading in Revelation 15:1-4, John records the vision of seven angels with the seven last plagues that will take place at the end of the Tribulation. The angels would fulfill the wrath of God with the seven plagues resulting in total destruction on earth. There would be judgment for those who followed the antichrist but reward for His servants.

In this vision, John sees what looked like a sea of glass mixed with fire along with those who had been victorious over the beast (v. 2).  Fire is one of the most destructive forces because it totally consumes and annihilates everything. God’s Day of Judgment will come on this world and in the meantime, we should make sure we are doing our best to warn others and relay the message of God’s way of escape through His Son.

Let us remember that these plagues will affect God too. He created this amazing world and some day it will have to be destroyed. He also had to give up His only Son for the sins of the world. Because of the blood of the Lamb, the servants, saints, and those who glorify His name will overcome.

Let us all be a part of the overcomers and sing what is identified as the song of Moses or song of the Lamb near His throne. For the exodus from Egypt is similar to the eternal deliverance from the beast.

There is power in God, value in His favor, and glory in His holiness. Let us be patient because things will get better. Tomorrow is only a day away and our tomorrow’s will get better by doing what is right and keeping our eye on the reward.

Follow Christ and Help Others Become Followers

The message given in reading Revelation 14 is the crushing blow for those who deny Christ. Our purpose then should be to put all our attention on making sure we are followers of Christ and help as many as we can to become followers. Here’s a video that encourages these actions: Until the Whole World Hears – Casting Crowns.

This day with God, give the extra effort to please Him by discovering His definite purpose for our life and creating outcomes that glorify Him.
