No More Hard Times or Pain or Sadness

In the post New Heaven and New Earth, John visualizes and shares with us about a place where there are no more hard times; no more death or mourning or pain. No more sadness, hunger, or thirst.

Thinking of this should give us a spark today because God comes from up there to down here to be with us. And with God we can sincerely believe that each obstacle will be overcome and enthusiastically act upon each task until completion; celebrating the reward to come and praising Him. Here’s a video to enhance this feeling of excitement: He is With Us – Love & The Outcome.

New Heaven and New Earth

John gives us a description in Revelation 21:1-8 of a new heaven and a new earth. There is no sea or sun. The Holy City of the Lord or Jerusalem comes down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband (v. 2).

Peace is the governor and righteousness is the ruler. There is no more violence or ruin, weeping or crying; no more death or mourning, or pain. The walls are salvation, the gates are praise, Jerusalem a delight, and its people a joy.

God has comes from up there to down here. The Spirit talks to the churches and everyone has plenty of food. For the believer; a new name is written on a white stone like receiving a trophy after winning the championship.

After reading today’s passage, why wouldn’t anybody want this? The image we get makes our faith an easy sale. Let us pray for a bountiful harvest as we simply relay the message of God’s rewarding Crown of Life.

Adding Names to the Book of Life

In the post Rebellion in the Kingdom of Christ, one question I answered was what can we do to add more people to the book of life? Since God has made each of us with certain skills, we can seek to each find out what our thing is and be happy for each opportunity to offer our skill to help others. Here’s a video to inspire as we go forward in confidence this day with God: Be Somebody – Thousand Foot Krutch.

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. – 2 Timothy 1:7

Rebellion in the Kingdom of Christ

There will be a rebellion at the end of the 1,000 year reign of Christ on Earth as described in Revelation 20:7-15. Satan will be released, followers will be recruited, and the forces will come together to surround the capital city or Jerusalem.

But the Lord will act quickly by sending down fire from heaven to devour the forces of evil (v. 9). The devil will be thrown into a lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night forever and ever (v. 10).

On the other hand, those who have lived and died in the faith will be enrolled in the book of life. They will be justified by the gospel and acquitted by the Judge; entering into eternal life.

What can we do now to add to the book of life? We can use our skills and strengths to carry the gospel to the ends of the earth so many names are added.

This day with God, do a heart check review by going to Him in prayer. It is prayer which is our greatest power. Ask what can be done to stir up the Spirit so His will is done. Go in confidence … remember that during prayer, we are speaking to the ONE who already has the answer.

Forever He Will Reign

The journey through the Bible has taken me to Revelation 20 and in the post Kingdom of Christ, I wrote some thoughts about this vision in which John is given details of the Millennial (1000 years) Kingdom of Christ.

As we build for fulfillment of this vision, let us be on the lookout for friends we can recruit to God’s winning team; friends to pray with, be accountable to, and celebrate victory with.

Followers of Christ will reign with Him on earth for 1,000 years and the enemies of God will be defeated including death. May this video bless your day: We All Bow Down – Lenny Leblanc.
