David was Israel’s greatest king but the Messiah is even greater as noted in Psalms 110 . In this passage, we get a good picture of the Messiah and of the rewarding future. The enemies which are ungodly men, sin, death, and the devil will be destroyed by Him. We know today that Christ came for the first time and sits at God’s right hand and will come again to bring total destruction of the wicked (vv. 1, 6) (Rev. 6-9).
Each day with God is amazing because with Him we can sincerely believe that each obstacle will be overcome and enthusiastically act upon each task until completion; celebrating progress throughout each day by praising Him.
Lord, may the gospel of Christ give us power so the kingdom is set up in our hearts. Let us be willing subjects in this kingdom until the day when you return or call to our permanent home with you.
