Jesus gave the disciples some instructions about how to handle those that seek to ruin and silence Him. He told them to be shrewd, on guard, stand firm, and let the Holy Spirit guide them in what they say and do.

The Holy Spirit is wiser than anyone. In dealing with any challenge, ask God for direction to make wise choices, for protection against enemies, and to stay out of traps.

Please receive this Word from God today and list any videos you are reminded of as you read this passage. Here is a link to one for this reading: Word of God Speak – Mercy Me.  My hope is that it inspires you as you spend this day with God.

I’m thinking about my day ahead. I’m praying that the Word of God and the Holy Spirit speaks deep in my heart. Today, I’m asking for direction to make wise choices and for protection against any traps the enemy may set.

About Mark Shields

Mark volunteers as a member of the media ministry team at his church. A few years ago, he started an on-line Bible study guide called “This Day with God Devotional”. He uses this as a tool in his journey through the Bible. We live in a very busy world with busy schedules so this tool has helped him continue with daily Bible reading and study. Each of the studies are designed to help apply our faith in the work place, at school, or at home. Join him on this journey or check in every so often to read his thoughts.
