Reading for Today

Set some time aside; maybe 10 minutes each day for the next two days. Read Isaiah 48 using your Bible or the passage lookup tool: Passage Lookup. After reading the passage for today, click back and continue with the items below.

Questions:

Are you aware of a command you are ignoring or holding back on because obedience seems a hardship to you? What may be the benefits if you obey? The consequences if you disobey?

Food for Thought

A child doesn’t go to the ocean with a teaspoon. They take a bucket. When we desire peace and joy like waves that continue to hit the shore, we don’t worship man-made idols. We worship a Sovereign Lord.

Response:

Our God is so big we don’t have to hold anything back. Pray for readiness in executing His commands. Learn, follow, and be doers of the Word.

Food for Thought:

Always let God be a part of your decision and approval process. This includes concerns with your family, business, organization, or job. Ask for God’s insight to the past, present, and future. His instructions are perfect and all we need to do is follow His plan.

Thoughts/Ideas:

Think of ideas that may help you write the law of Christ in your heart.

Response:

Think of an issue or problem you’re dealing with. Go to God in prayer for direction.  Feel secure and at peace knowing God can give a plan to help deal with the issue.
