A thought from John 12:12-19 is how Jesus put in the effort to care for people. He got on a donkey and the people waved palm branches as He was on the pathway to passion. Jesus was ready to carry out His purpose as He surrendered all to fulfill His call. He loves you and He demonstrated that love on the Cross. Throughout His life on earth, He taught about how to live and He has sent the Holy Spirit to guide, so be drawn to Jesus to improve your life now and for eternity because He believes you are a treasure beyond measure!
Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” – John 4:13-14
This day with God, never go thirsty again as you take in the Word so you are equipped to serve and worship the ONE true God. Aspire to grow in faith and tell the world about Jesus who provides a victorious future.
Ask the Lord to do as the lyrics say in Fill My Cup by Andrew Ripp. Fill it so it runs over with love, joy, and peace. Fill your future with vision. With goodness, grace, and provision.
My grandparents had a farm north of town. We would come to visit from a town about 2 hours away, and I would go to the farm with my dad and granddad. There was a spring fed creek that ran through the middle of the farm. Even through a long summer drought, there was water for the livestock to drink.
Reading today in Isaiah 27, I’m reminded of that spring fed creek. Jesus talked about drinking water so we do not thirst again in John 4:13-14. He said that the water He gives will become a spring of water welling up to eternal life. Unfortunately, some will face extreme struggle because they did not accept what Jesus offered, and it will be a very difficult time.
In today’s passage, what is being prophesized is the time after the rapture when those left behind on earth who have never accepted Jesus as Savior will not understand what is going on. Prophesized is seven years of the worst of times … Hell on earth for those who reject Jesus and what is called the tribulation.
God gives assurance that those who accept Jesus will be spared, they will be able to enter their rooms and shut the doors for a while until His wrath has passed (Isaiah 26:20). Unfortunately, some will have to go through extreme difficulty.
Isaiah’s assessment of the people’s readiness was that there was a need for a correction in their course so more would be taught and brought back to God. There was a need for a cure from idolatry. In current times, there is a need to desire to be taught the Word, so we are equipped to serve and worship the ONE true God. There is a need to aspire to grow in faith and tell the world about Jesus who provides a victorious future.
At the end of tribulation, the Lord will defeat the army of the Anti-Christ. Evil will be conquered and all things will be completely transformed. No walls will be needed during the millennial kingdom (v. 10). The planet will be renewed, there will be peace, and things of beauty will cover the earth. The new earth will be formed with the Light of perfect truth, the Light of life, and the joy of everlasting life. [1]
Unfortunately, some may not comprehend until it’s too late. Let us hope that God’s Word and the Holy Spirit will help them understand. This day with God, let us share God’s plan with as many as we can.
This day, we come to You Lord in prayer as we get prepared for the challenges ahead. Satisfy our thirst as we tap into Your never-ending supply of water for our soul. Fill us with joy, with peace, and with vision. With your plan that brings goodness, grace, and provision to the victorious end. Amen.

You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. - Isaiah 26:3
A thought from “Dawn of a New Day” is that this may be the day of the Lord’s return and you can be at peace by trusting in the Lord. Just as the dawn brings dew that provides life to soil and vegetation, the Lord brings deliverance.
Each day is a new day and your today can be better than yesterday. Get off on the right track, have the right frame of mind, feel better, receive joy, and believe amazing things can be done.
Each day is a new day, and today can be better than yesterday. We can get off on the right track, have the right frame of mind, feel better, receive joy, and believe amazing things can be done. This may be the day of the Lord’s return. Just as the dawn brings dew that provides life to soil and vegetation, the Lord brings deliverance that provides new life to the dead of the earth.
The reason for the singing in Isaiah 26 is because of the return of the Lord. They are celebrating the Savior and the day of the Lord’s favor. The righteous were waiting after a long difficult period brought on by corrupt rulers who had led them to destruction. They were snakes in the grass. Con men, scammers, and bad leaders that had bitten them. Delivering their poison to society. That’s why it’s best to be up high on Father God’s shoulders so you can see them slithering in the weeds next to the path.
My grandparents had a farm north of town, and when I would go to the farm with my dad and granddad when I was young. I remember one time walking along a path up to the tank. The weeds were high on each side of the path, so dad put me up on his shoulder. Walking along, my grandfather yelled out, “snake” and all were warned so no one was bitten. It was a big water moccasin snake near the pathway. If I were not on my dad’s shoulders, I probably would have been running ahead along the path and the snake would have bitten me.
Lord, it’s the dawn of a new day. We let the Light in with joy as the antidote to the lethal poison of original sin results in things like hate, lying, and crime. We are thankful that it is a new day, and we’ve started out on the right tract with the right frame of mind. We have total peace because You are with us and for us. Amen.
