The Best Way to Live

Suggestions about how to best live are brought out in Ecclesiastes 11. We are to live with passion and act out of love with little concern for receiving anything in return. Jesus fulfilled His mission with passion and this should motivate us to fulfill our purpose in life with passion. What really matters is not the outlook but the up look and spending each day with God; working together and living one day at a time with passion.

We should do all we can in the present because we do not know the future. Be careful to go to God in prayer each day with thanksgiving; making a choice to be happy and taking on difficulty with the attitude that tomorrow is a clean slate. There is so much good to be done but we have to go out on a limb to get the fruit and we have only a certain amount of time to get it done.

It is good to start the habit of going to God each day in an organized lifelong study along with prayer. Even though a young person has more time to grow, a person can start at any age the habit of going to their Holy place and growing each day. At any age, they can start following God’s way and being attentive to His directions. At any age, they can pray and look up to receive the “Green” light to go about fulfilling their purpose.

This day with God, we can explore, dream, and discover.
We don’t have to be disappointed by the things we didn’t do.
We can get away from the comfort zone and sail away
With confidence knowing He will pull us through!

The Most Effective Way

A thought after reflecting upon Ecclesiastes 10 is to focus on the most important priority. What matters first and foremost is our relationship with God. When we are in constant communication with Him, each situation can be handled in the most effective way.

We have access to the greatest power because of Jesus and this video calls attention to this: Jesus in Disguise – Brandon Heath.

My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry. – James 1:19

Which Way to Go

From Ecclesiastes 10, the lesson for me is to focus on God’s way when facing challenges. To listen, pay attention, stay calm, and be careful; knowing that God’s way is best.

The study of God’s Word inclines our actions to be passionately directed towards His way. Along this way, character is built up and the result is victory. It is a faithful way where respect is given to those in charge, care is taken in what is said, and attention to the small details eventually leads from insignificance into major significance.

Wisdom has a great advantage over foolishness. A fool tries in desperation to get out of circumstances but a wise person falls back on the strengths that allow them to eventually step ahead into circumstances that are favorable.

This day with God will be amazing because His principles never change. A daily devotional time internalizes His guiding principles becoming an instrument which pushes one to focus on Him in every activity throughout the day. In preparation for prayer, spend a few minutes in silence, putting away the cares and concerns and noise of the day, listening to the Holy Spirit for directions on which way to go.

LORD What is it that You Want Me to be?

It is important to know what we are good at because there is a limited time to fulfill our destiny. That’s why it’s important to spend some time looking at ways to use our strengths. We can all be somebody when we go to God in prayer and ask this question, “LORD what is it that you want me to be”?

In prayer, we receive the greatest creative power known because we are in conversation with the CREATOR of all things. To fulfill our destiny, we need to identify the spark, the something special, or strength that we provide to others. This will help us notice opportunities swiftly, make decisions quickly, and move into action immediately.

Think about it as you listen to this video: Be Somebody – Thousand Foot Krutch. Then go to our CREATOR confidently in prayer asking for His blessing.

And in the church God has appointed first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, also those having gifts of healing those able to help others, those with gifts of administration, and those speaking in different kinds of tongues. – 1 Corinthians 12:28

Meaning to Life

In trying to answer some basic questions while studying Ecclesiastes 9, I’ve concluded that the sovereignty of God lends meaning to life. He provides what is good for us and is useful for others. His Word becomes the provision that satisfies the desires of the soul.

There is meaning in life because we can witness the power of God in our life and in others. We can witness amazing feats accomplished and learn mind-boggling facts of Creation. To take in what we see and write about these amazing facts of God is important because then there is more attention to what truly pollutes. The more emphasis on values given from God, the cleaner our world becomes.

As writers and readers of the Truth, one idea is to develop filters for the moral pollution of this world by separating what is good from what is bad. These filters take in what we consume through books, conversation, blogs, music, art, and other multi-media so that the poisonous unhealthy part is separated out. Then all that is left is the excellent, nutritious, and upright so it is good for the soul.

This day with God will be amazing because we can go to Him in prayer and ask for creativity and feel confident we will receive it because we are speaking to the CREATOR of it all.
