Brighter Days Ahead

Those who believe in Christ can look forward to brighter days ahead. This can encourage us to not only manage our daily living but be reinvigorated by Christ’s power. Each morning is a fresh start and we can believe that our tomorrows will only get better.

Many times we accept less than what God can give. We let what we cannot do interfere with what God can do. We need to draw on His love and power and let His light shine down on us like this video points out:God of Brilliant Lights – Aaron Shust.

Now we can look forward to the salvation God has promised us. There is no longer any room for doubt, and we can tell others that salvation is ours, for there is no question that He will do what He says. – Hebrews 10:23

The Sealing

In Revelation 7, John sees four angels standing at four corners of the earth holding back the wind. Another angel came bringing the seal of the living God and stated that they would put a seal on the forehead of God’s servants. Those with a seal on their forehead would be spared.

Then John sees a great multitude in white robes holding palm branches standing around the throne worshiping God and the Lamb. Those in white robes were those who were sealed; God’s servants who were spared the tribulation; taken care of by God and the Lamb.

Find encouragement from today’s passage and use it to help manage as we live in today’s times. Let us be thankful for God’s mercy. Our praises to God are the palm branches mentioned in today’s passage and they are tokens of joy and victory; our trophies of victory as we fight the good fight of faith, and finish our course.

When God comes or calls it will be amazing because our Creator who made the sun, moon, and more stars than we can count, will shine over us and bless us with joys more numerous than the stars; there will be no more hunger, thirst or grief but only happiness, joy, and eternal peace.

Week in Review – Revelation 5-6

This week, I have posting some thoughts from Revelation 5-6. The vision of John describes the problem we face because of sin but Christ the Lamb has washed us clean. There is no separation from God because Christ stands as Mediator.

Being free and ready to be used by God is a powerful thought because we can go to Him in prayer, plan out our activities, and apply our faith. There is a freedom not to satisfy our sinful nature but a freedom to faithfully serve one another.

Certain forces have been operative throughout history; war, death, martyrdom, upheaval in nature, and Divine judgment. There are some mysteries of the universe that are hard to understand but because of our acceptance of Christ, we are assured that God is with us and we will be blessed with eternal rewards.

Next week, the study will continue into Revelation 7-8. Have a great weekend my friends!

Since He Is With Us, Who Can Be Against Us

There are some mysteries of the universe that are hard to understand but we can be confident that God is in control of history and we can be touched by His divine power. Here’s a video link to a conversation about God between a patient and a dentist. Let us pray today that more have faith in His way and understand that they are more than conquerors through Him who loves us.

What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God be with us, who can be against us? – Romans 8:31

Prepared for the Day

The first six seals are described and the seventh is introduced in Revelation 6. Only the Lamb was worthy to open the seals. Various characters like riders on horses and objects like the sun, moon, and mountains are used to describe the dramatic scenes. The forces in the first four seals that have been operative throughout history are the following.

War
Death
Martyrdom
Upheaval in Nature
Divine Judgment

Think of present times. Are these forces being fulfilled in our lifetime? Today, many people are being killed because of their faith in Jesus Christ. A while back, there were reports of churches being burned in Egypt. Think of the war, death, and Martyrdom in the Middle East. Think of the cosmic disruptions in recent years. One is the comet that exploded in the sky over Russia. Are we getting close to the Day of Judgment and end of the world which is the event described by John in the breaking of the sixth seal?

It makes you think doesn’t it and it makes good sense to be prepared for that Day; to want to escape the wrath. Those who belong to Christ will receive the reward rather than punishment. There is no fear because even if the body dies, the soul continues to live.

This day with God, we can rest assured that our growing faith can never be taken away or depleted. He will bless us with eternal rewards. Even though it is hard to understand the mysteries of the universe, we can be thankful for the gospel message which has a beautiful and refreshing simplicity about it that sets us free and never lets us down.
