Worship Song Sunday Inspired by Habakkuk 2:5-20

All week, my heart has leaned into the study of Habakkuk 2:5–20: to build something that lasts—not just for today, but for every tomorrow. I’ve sought truth that stirs me now, igniting a deeper desire to walk in God’s Way. And I’ve listened for something I can carry forward, a sound that keeps me stepping ahead in faith. Out of this pursuit, a worship song has emerged—born from scripture, shaped by reflection, and filled with the hope that what has been built will continue to sing life into every season.

Statements of Faith Friday 11-28-2025

As we journey forward into the future God has prepared for us, our statements of faith serve as anchors, ⚓ keeping us grounded and aligned to His Way. Rooted in the powerful truths of Habakkuk 2:5–20, these declarations are more than words—they are spiritual affirmations that strengthen our resolve and renew our hope. Whether spoken aloud, written in a journal, or quietly meditated upon, they carry the potential to give us a lift and empower us to step ahead. Let them be a source of encouragement this weekend and a guiding light throughout the week ahead, reminding us that God’s way is steadfast, victorious, and full of promise.

🌿Restoration and Divine Direction

  • I reject the erosion of society by violence, greed, and selfishness; I choose the path of God.
  • I am anchored in truth, not emptiness; in grace, not deception.
  • I listen for God’s voice, and He lays a path before me — steady, healing, and sure.
  • I walk in friendliness, temperance, purpose, and unselfishness — virtues that build and bless.
  • I am part of a society being healed, not harmed — restored by divine love and moral grounding.
  • I follow the map God provides, leading to integrity and wholeness.
  • I am shaped by grace, not by the chaos of the world.
  • I trust that God’s plan is unfolding, even when deception tries to conceal the future.
  • I believe in a flourishing tomorrow, far greater than what destruction tried to steal.
  • I am a vessel of truth and love, smoothing the path for others as I walk in faith.

Thoughts for Thursday 11-27-2025

Our thoughts are powerful catalysts, sparking the momentum that propels us forward on the path God has designed. They shape our perspective, energize, direct our steps, and ignite our passion like fuel to a flame as we carry out God’s plan for us. Below is a thought from Habakkuk 2:5–20.

When societies abandon reverence for God and lose their moral compass, they begin to crumble under the weight of violence, greed, and selfish ambition. These destructive forces hollow out communities, leaving behind emptiness and division. But when God is heard and heeded, a new path emerges—one marked by friendliness, temperance, purpose, and unselfishness. These virtues do not tear down; they build up. They do not wound; they heal. God offers a map to integrity, paved with truth and smoothed by love, shaped by grace. As His plan unfolds, the future begins to flourish—radiant and whole—far surpassing the illusions that deception once tried to hide.

Thanksgiving Victory

Thanksgiving is a time for family, lots of food, and football games. Our favorite teams don’t always win but being a part of God’s team always brings the final victory. All winning teams have a game plan. Let us be thankful that Jesus is God’s plan for us and by accepting Him as Savior; we have taken the steps necessary to make this Thanksgiving weekend with Him amazing!

Thanksgiving is a time,
For family and food,
A table spread wide
With an attitude—
Of gratitude.

Football games are viewed,
Cheers rise and fall,
Our favorite teams
May not win at all.
But one team does, it seems—
A mystery divine,
A victory unseen
By human design.

So be grateful,
Not just for pie or feast,
But for the grace
That never ceased.
For our Lord,
In mercy profound,
Brings final victory
Where love abounds.

Free from the demands
Of the written code,
He bore the weight
Of sin’s heavy load.
Because of the Cross,
A new Way is showed—
Not earned, but given,
Not forced, but flowed.

Accepting this new Way
That God has provided,
Hearts once scattered
Now stand united.
Doing the amazing,
Not by might or pride,
But by the Spirit
That dwells inside.

Let Justice Roll

But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream. – Amos 5:24

In the reflection drawn from Habakkuk 2:5–20 and written about in the post “A Cry for Integrity”, the prophet boldly exposes the destructive elements eroding society—violence, greed, emptiness, and selfishness—hallmarks of a world lacking moral grounding and divine direction. Yet into this bleakness steps the teachings of Christ, offering a restorative path marked by friendliness, temperance, purpose, and unselfishness. Where injustice reigns, Jesus calls us to embody virtues that build instead of break, heal instead of harm. His life becomes both a mirror and a map: revealing where society falters and guiding us toward a life of integrity shaped by love and truth.

Inspired by Megan Woods’ The Truth by Megan Woods, we’re reminded that the enemy’s whispers are nothing but hollow attempts to cloud our identity. The deeper truth—the eternal, unwavering truth—is that we belong to the Father. We are His children, shaped by grace and claimed by love. The lies may surround us, but they don’t define us. When we hold this truth close, anchoring it in our hearts and living it out with courage and faithfulness, the future begins to flourish. It’s not just hopeful—it’s holy. Those who walk in truth and do their part will see God’s plan unfold in ways that far exceed what the lies ever dared to conceal.
