We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
each of us has turned to our own way;
and the Lord has laid on him
the iniquity of us all. – Isaiah 53:6
In Isaiah 53, the prophet speaks of Israel straying from God like wandering sheep as everyone goes astray and turns to their own way, but the Lord would lay on the servant the iniquity of all. Unfortunately, nations and world leaders would say that God’s servant does not “look the part” because of not being a conquering soldier but instead, a servant crucified on a cross.
A thought noted in the post “Higher Focus” is that God choose to save the world through a humble servant who we know as Jesus born in a stable, from a small town who worked as a carpenter, never wrote a book, or never held a public office. Many times, we tend to overlook what’s extraordinary.
This day with God, let us therefore look for the unseen qualities in others because God can use anyone for His great purposes. Those we don’t expect can do extraordinary things beyond what we even imagine. Be thankful for the productive work of others and appreciate them. See things from a higher perspective like a hawk looks down for food to eat. See what food for the soul is available to feed the Spirit within. See what others don’t see … appreciating the qualities in others and knowing that everyone has something unique to offer.
The victors are the ones who put their trust in Jesus so let us wake up, stay alert, and hold fast to God’s Word. We are all a part of God’s story just as pointed out in the song by Katy Nichole & Big Daddy Weave – God is in the Story so let us do our part for the purpose of God. The story continues so let us encourage one another along the journey and share with others.
Thanks for reading. Please like, follow, and pass on to others … Point out the importance of the work accomplished by Jesus on the cross!

Just love Isaiah 53. Excellent.
