We know from previous studies that God allowed Jerusalem to be devastated, and the people of Israel were put in bondage in Babylon. They worshiped idols. As explained in “Pulled Up by the Upper Hand”, idols fail their worshipers. Instead of carrying burdens that idol worship provides, we can lighten the load by loving and trusting God. He provides all that is needed, and the burden of debt has been paid.

Let us learn from the past, be attentive to the present, and be prepared for the future. Let us grow during bad times and during good times, put the pedal to the metal to go the way of God. To live out the good life by gaining the treasures of a transformed life.
