This day with God, we are enabled to sow the good seeds of the Word as we read John 6:59-71, and have faith that the harvest will be plentiful. There is renewal each day and a sense of wonder as these seeds grow into the fruit of the Spirit.
From the study of verses 25-40, Jesus said that He is the Bread of Life, Many had a hard time understanding because they were thinking of physical food. Jesus explains that His flesh or victorious death on the cross brings eternal life that is real food and His blood shed on the cross is real drink. Those who accept this sacrifice of the body and blood receive eternal life.
He explains that His teaching is spiritual. The Spirit gives life, but the flesh counts for nothing. He goes on to say that followers were enabled by the Father to believe that He is the Holy One of God. We note in today’s passage that many of Jesus’ followers thought the teaching was too hard, so they abandoned Jesus and His teaching.
The takeaway for us this day is that the Father has enabled us, and we can apply our faith. We are enabled to share our faith at home, at work, in our leisure time, and in whatever we do. To set out each day making note of God’s presence, to share it with others, and open the door to joy in this world and the next one where there is the ultimate reward of eternal bliss.
There is wonder in the world around us. We see the results of a mighty God, a wonderful Counselor, and an everlasting Father that has enabled us to grow in faith. We sow this sense of wonder into the minds of others and believe the harvest will be plentiful. We are thankful that the field is much larger with modern technology as we sow the seeds of the Word to all regions of the world through the internet. We believe these seeds will grow into the fruit of the Spirit as we pray in Jesus’ name … amen.

Thanks for the great insight. This is it: “To set out each day making note of God’s presence, to share it with others, and open the door to joy in this world and the next one where there is the ultimate reward of eternal bliss.”
Blessings.

What a thought it is to be enabled by our Father, regardless of the world that oppresses us – we are shining in the darkness!
