From the previous post, Jesus took a few loafs of bread and a couple of fish to feed 5,000 on the grassy hillside. Then as we read John 6:16-40, the disciples got into a boat to go across the lake to Capernaum. Jesus had not gone with them but after they had navigated about three or four miles on the lake, they saw Jesus approaching the boat (v. 19).
In today’s passage, Jesus reveals His power to walk on water. Then later in the passage, we note that Jesus is the Word which is food for the soul so there is an unlimited supply of the bread of life. The thought is that whoever accepts the Word will never go hungry or thirsty which are the two basic needs that Jesus can fulfill.
Satisfaction, joy, peace, and abundant living are within our reach at this moment because Christ is the bread of life who nourishes our souls. From the bread of life, we have the Holy Spirit that indwells to bring grace, redemption, and everlasting life.
This day with You Lord, we give You praise because all our needs are fulfilled bringing satisfaction, joy, peace, and abundant living. Holy Spirit indwells to nourish our souls to bring grace, redemption, and everlasting life. Our actions are sparked to bring glory to You Lord in all we do for it is in Your name we pray. Amen.

Excellent insight. The connection between the miracles is important. This is it: “Satisfaction, joy, peace, and abundant living are within our reach at this moment because Christ is the bread of life who nourishes our souls.”
Blessings.
