That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weakness, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. – 2 Corinthians 12:10
As explained in “A Time to Reflect” David was going through difficulty and wrote the poem in Psalm 56. In the poem, we learn that God was gracious to David and eventually He was able to escape to the cave of Adullam (1 Sam. 22:1).
David’s response was to praise God and this day, you can respond the same way. Never get discouraged for opportunity often comes disguised as difficulty. Keep thoughts of God’s compassion in mind. Like the song Carry Me by Josh Wilson, pray to the ONE that can calm the water and trust his power to carry you to solid ground.
What a great Psalm. Love this: “Never get discouraged for opportunity often comes disguised as difficulty. Keep thoughts of God’s compassion in mind.” Thanks for your constant encouragement.
Blessings.
