This day with God will be amazing because what is stated in the Bible always comes about so let us take in the Word found in Mark 9:2-13 to learn from the past, walk in the present, and receive encouragement for the future.
In today’s passage, Jesus takes Peter, James, and John with Him up on a high mountain where they witness the transfiguration of Jesus. The cloths of Jesus become dazzling white, whiter than anyone in the world could bleach them. And there appeared before them Elijah and Moses, who were talking with Jesus (vv. 3-4).
Verse 7 underscores the identity of Jesus as the Son of God as a cloud appeared and covered them. Then a voice from the cloud says, “This is my Son, whom I love. Listen to him!” The promises of God are built on truth and we can rest assured that the promises are fulfilled.
What was promised in the Old Testament is fulfilled in the New Testament. We can count on it and like the photo below, the words of the Lord are flawless like silver or gold.

This Day with You Lord, we mine for silver and gold as we explore Your Word further. What is promised in Your Word comes about. We can count on it. Thank You for grace and power through Your Son Jesus. Amen
