Worship Service Update

With God, there is always hope. Sometimes we may think there isn’t an answer to our problems but each day we wake up, we have a new day to search for solutions. When found, we should celebrate like a child at Christmas.

Last Sunday at the church I attend, the message was titled “Revealing Light”.  Christmas is here … what are we looking for? This holiday season, pause in the midst of your Christmas preparations to make your heart ready through worship.  Pastor Steve brought the message to us with some great points in bold. Below each point are some notes I took while listening.

Christmas Comes with No Assembly Required
Gifts received at Christmas sometimes require assembly and some can be complicated but God’s gift of Jesus requires no assembly. God has engineered a gift for us that is the perfect gift that is present with us to help be the person He wants us to be.

Christmas Reveals God is with Us
In John 14:23, Jesus tells us if we ask Him into our heart, He will come in and be with us always.

Christmas was a Disturbing Event
During the point in time when Jesus was born, it was not a pleasant era to live. King Herod was a terrible person; ordering the death of every child in the area under the age of two.

Christmas is a Time of Searching
With God, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel so never give up. Search far and wide, search deep inside. Find a way out of the dark time by asking for help.

Christmas Provides a Reason to Celebrate
Look for the light and when you find it, celebrate because you see better days ahead. The answer to the problem is found and there are things to be excited about for the future.

Christmas is a Revelation that Involves a Response
Sing the songs and worry will flee and darkness will concede. Make Christ central in your life and realize that darkness will not last forever but know that God’s eternal light will shine forever.

Next weekend, Pastor Fenzel will bring the message “This is Just the Beginning”. If you are not able to attend your local church service (traveling, health condition, weather, etc), I invite you to this link of the podcast where you can listen/watch each sermon message.

Have a very Merry Christmas my friends!

And thank you Pastor Davis/Master Teacher. During this time, we can be thankful because if faced with doubt, God has sent us the Truth, during confusion, He has sent us The Way, and during chaos, He has sent The Prince of Peace. Yes, in our time of need, God sent His Son whose birth we celebrate… Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
