Because Solomon was such a successful king, others came to visit to uncover his secret. In 2 Chronicles 9:1-12, we read about the queen of Sheba’s visit. What she found was stunning and even exceeded her expectations. She gives praises to the Lord who she felt delighted in Solomon and placed him in this position of king of Israel (V. 8).
She wanted to learn from Solomon in order to serve God. What she noticed in Solomon is that God gave him heavenly wisdom which is more valuable than all the gold, spices, and precious stones they exchanged as gifts.
Solomon had prayed for wisdom when he first became king and God not only gave him wisdom but great material wealth. Are there times in your life when you prayed for help and God provided? In anything we do, it should all begin with prayer; every project finished, every book written, and every accomplishment in life.
Society wants to take God out and in so doing, there is no accomplishment. Why not come up with ways to put God into everything we do by praying first. This day with God, see yourself integrating faith with lifestyle, see a preferred future, and see yourself fulfilling the mission God has for you. Spend some time in prayer with confidence because when you pray, you are speaking to the ONE who provides the way to accomplishment.
