Lamentations 3:40-66

Passage – Read or Listen

When have you recently heard God say, “Do not fear!”? What has been your response?

In this passage, we get images of a nation in a dire predicament. The only way out is to examine the situation, ask for help, and lift up needs to God. Christ has told us of a helper that will be with us forever. When weary, God is near. His grace brings victory so celebrate by stepping out in new and adventurous ways with boldness.

List any videos you are reminded of as you read this passage. Here is a link to one for this reading: He Is – Mark Schultz . My hope is that you will be
moved by this video and that it inspires you as you spend this day with God.

Spend some time in prayer today. Take in the breath of mercy and breathe out praises to God. Give thanks for the Redeemer who has cleared the way to help; for it is God who will hear our needs and give the courage to step out in a new way.

About Mark Shields

Mark volunteers as a member of the media ministry team at his church. A few years ago, he started an on-line Bible study guide called “This Day with God Devotional”. He uses this as a tool in his journey through the Bible. We live in a very busy world with busy schedules so this tool has helped him continue with daily Bible reading and study. Each of the studies are designed to help apply our faith in the work place, at school, or at home. Join him on this journey or check in every so often to read his thoughts.
