Account for the change in mood at verse 21. On what basis is there hope for restoration? What is required to experience it?
Remembering the goodness of God in the past gives hope for the future. God is always there even in tough times and this gives hope for better days ahead. Tough times have a way of building up character.
Receive inspiration from this point made by my pastor Steve Ramsdell: “Hope is like an anchor. During the storms of life, hope helps us to hold course. We then find out the nature of our faith, the strength of our commitment, and the level of our maturity”.
Praise God even in the storms of life for He is always there and tomorrow there is hope for a better day. He is an anchor during difficulty; building individuals with persistence, understanding, and trust.
Today set your heart on things above where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Think of good that has happened in your past. In part of your prayer today, thank God for a chance to reflect on the past. Ask that these memories build a faith that keeps you anchored during storms.
