To what extent are you God’s servant? What are your spiritual obligations?
Jeremiah continues to give prophecies on what will happen and what the people need to do but very few listen and take him serious. Being a servant of God is hard work and discouraging at times.
My Pastor Steve Ramsdell has noted in a sermon before, there are huge dividends for being a servant of God for His bank never goes broke and there are rewards for encouraging others.
As we go toward the reward, lower expectations for the present but raise them for the future because adversity prepares more than comfort and prosperity. We should pray for the ability to have the right expectations about this world but continue to know the reward in the other world is very encouraging indeed. Take these words from Philippians 4:19, God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.
