Jeremiah 44

Passage Lookup

What were the reasons that hard times came on Judah?  What were the consequences of worshiping other gods? What lesson can be learned from this passage about putting our focus completely on God?

God had sent prophets to warn the people not to worship other gods but they didn’t pay attention. The result was desolation as God’s anger was poured out against the towns of Judah.

The people put all their energy into worship of idols instead of God. There are things that can distract us and this video inspires us to focus on loving the lord with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. Lincoln Brewster – Love The Lord. Listening to inspiring words from praise songs pushes the love of the Lord deep down in the heart, soul, and mind;
moving one to action. My hope and prayer is that you will be moved by this video and that it inspires you as you spend this day with God.

The lesson from this passage is to not neglect the offered salvation God gives us in Christ. We should love the Lord with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength; being moved to share this Good News with others.  My prayer is that God continues to validate within you the beliefs that bring you to even greater focus on Him.
