Jonah 3

Passage Lookup

Question(s):

Both God and Jonah had a responsibility in the mission to Nineveh. How might God use you to such an extent in your campus, office, or community?

Video:

An eleven year old boy named Casey Rogers pushed the button to implode the former home of the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Stadium. He won an essay contest; writing about a ministry he started “Casey’s Heart” that helps the homeless.

Casey’s Heart

 Application:

Jonah went to Nineveh and simply told everyone their city would be destroyed. He “pushed some buttons so to say” to begin the process of destroying the old in order to start something new and improved. Pray for ways you can push a few buttons in people you know. It may be something like praying for the courage to simply invite others to come to a worship service or giving them the link to this devotional site.

About Mark Shields

Mark volunteers as a member of the media ministry team at his church. A few years ago, he started an on-line Bible study guide called “This Day with God Devotional”. He uses this as a tool in his journey through the Bible. We live in a very busy world with busy schedules so this tool has helped him continue with daily Bible reading and study. Each of the studies are designed to help apply our faith in the work place, at school, or at home. Join him on this journey or check in every so often to read his thoughts.
