Building Integrity

This day with God, we are building integrity by learning from His Word. We are more aware of mistakes made, we learn from these mistakes, and make the necessary adjustments. Read this poem as encouragement in following God’s plan for you.

Integrity
Doesn’t blow in the wind
And vary to best meet
What’s in our own mind!

Integrity
Is there as a benchmark,
Setting us free
To now embark.

Reading the Word builds up
Integrity
For an abundant life
With regularity.

So we set out
Knowing what we can do
In living a life
Of great value.

By making sure
Our life services
Uses spiritual gifts
For God’s purposes.

Forever

The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of God endures forever. – Isaiah 40:8

A thought from the post “Run the Race to the Finish Line” is that God and the Word are related because they were from the beginning and last forever. Let us set aside time each day to read, understand, and apply God’s Word. The event that gives confidence to our faith is the death of Christ on the Cross. Then the resurrection three days afterwards and the Holy Spirit adds to our confidence which continues to build daily. These resources are made available to us each day to help us boldly run the race to the finish line.

This day with God, we will forever build a legacy with the people around us, practice being an encourager, and pass on the faith baton. Take inspiration from the song God Of All My Days by Casting Crowns. Sometimes we run away from God but we need to run towards God. Sometimes we get tired but we have others we can hand our faith off to so they can run the next leg of the race.

Run the Race to the Finish Line

Time is one of the greatest gifts we have so let us spend a while reading 1 Peter 1:13-25 and making plans with God for an amazing day. We will work hard but also make plans to have fun building memories that will last forever. We will build a legacy with the people around us, practice being an encourager, and pass on the faith baton.

The thought for the future was that Jesus Christ would be revealed so that the people could set their hope on this thought, be obedient, and accept the help of the Spirit of Christ. The help would be available so that the new nature of loving their neighbor and seeing God at work in their life would be the outcome. They were to continue their hope on this time, receive the grace, and be holy in all they do.

There is a relationship between the Word and God because they both are from the beginning of time and last forever.

On many occasions, we end up spending our time and money on those things that bring the least benefit to our life. They keep us away from diving into the deep waters of God’s Word that satisfies the soul. Instead, we wallow in the shallow of what the world offers which are views with no firm principles to stand on.

This day with You Lord, we have set aside time to understand and think about ways to apply Your Word. Following Your Way gives us a great advantage in passing on the faith baton from generation to generation. In so doing, we run the race to victory in our life and lay down the path for those in the future. Amen.

Bear Much Fruit

I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. – John 15:5

The post “Faith, Hope, and Love Connection” emphasized the need to express faith actively by loving God and your neighbor. To see God at work in their life and give praise for strength in times of trouble. To receive God’s love and the joy in hoping for change. To gain the victory and look forward to the everlasting reward.

Life around us can crumble and be in ruins but as the song says, God is with us and we will not be ruined. We can bear much fruit with God and can trust what He’s doing.

Faith, Hope, and Love Connection

Some collect the knowledge from God’s Word and have the wisdom but fail to produce any fruit. Not only is there a need to learn from the Word but a need to share about God’s Plan for Us.  To connect to people with faith, hope, and love.

This day with God, we are focusing on 1 Peter 1:6-12. As verse 3 states, we rejoice in new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. A reward of an inheritance in heaven awaits that will never perish, spoil or fade.

Faith is expressed actively when we give praise, glory, and honor to Christ. There is inexpressible worship for the strength to handle the trials we go through as we have a chance to change, become victorious, and receive glorious joy for the everlasting reward which is the salvation of our souls.

The basic purpose of the Old Testament and the prophets was to speak of the grace that would come. To prepare their hearts and minds for God’s plan. To point to the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ would be available so that the new nature of loving their neighbor and seeing God at work in their life would be the outcome.

The photo at the top of this post was taken in March of 2020. It’s a photo of the wall on the house of my next door neighbors as the children were at home during the Coronavirus outbreak. Faith, hope, and love are the unseen weapons we have to defeat the disease of sin.

This day with You God, we feel Your presence. We are tuned in to the Holy Spirit and we are discovering this new way because the Cross of Christ paid for all sins. Our joy grows each day for the work being done in our hearts that enable us to fulfill Your purpose. There is joy deep in our hearts because You are a mighty God, a wonderful Counselor, an everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. Amen.
