✨Statements of Faith on Forgiveness and Compassion
Forgiveness is hard because it asks us to release the weight of past wounds. Yet in Christ, we are reminded that letting go opens the door to peace and healing.
During the holidays, when families gather, old words may echo. But love is stronger than estrangement, and reconciliation is possible through grace.
Genesis 50 teaches us through Joseph’s example. Though wronged by his brothers, he chose gentleness over revenge, declaring that God had used their actions for good.
Joseph reassured his family with compassion. He promised provision, not punishment, showing that forgiveness can transform fear into fellowship.
We are called to influence others with gentleness. Just as Joseph’s kindness shaped his family’s future, our mercy can shape the lives of those around us.
The best response to hurt is forgiveness. Holding onto pain only binds us to the past, but forgiveness sets us free to walk forward in hope.
What we sow into others will return to us. A smile given will be a smile received; kindness offered will be kindness returned.
Life may throw curve balls, but eternity shines brighter. Our hope of paradise with the Lord outweighs every trial we face in this world.
This day with God, I choose joy. I will give a smile, extend kindness, and trust that His love will multiply it back to me.

Love these. Thanks.
