Within “Treasure from the Truth”, we noted that Jesus provides more than any worldly treasure.
Jesus was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. – John 1:1-3
Jesus gives us Good News in a sometimes negative world with the ability to overpower an entire army of negatives that get us down and deplete our hope.
Many times, like the song Come to the Table by Sidewalk Prophets says, we feel that we are on the outside looking in but with Jesus, that’s where grace begins. Love opens the door and invites us in so all that are ready to follow, can sit down at the table and be set free.

Amen! “Jesus provides more than any worldly treasure.”
Shalom!

Mark, did you lead worship at Trinity church on 1604 at any time? I was trying to remember when I started following your blog on WP. Back when I was doing twitter, I was following the worship leader on twitter, he mentioned someone’s blog and how that person was doing a great blog to follow and if you wanted to get the The Word, that blog presented it. I actually think that was your blog, and how I found you. Just trying to sort memories out.
Anyway, today’s and yesterday’s treasure blogs are good, thanks for posting. Yeshua’s Blessings on you and yours.

Thanks for reading. No, I’ve never been a worship leader but did help present the media (videos and words to the songs) during the worship service for about 15 years at First Methodist Waco https://firstwaco.com/. When covid hit, I had to work a lot on weekends so had to give that up but did continue doing this blog since it gives me the opportunity for flexibility in my schedule.
