Noted in yesterday’s post is that Solomon built the temple first and then built a palace for himself. He also kept up the holy sacrifices according to the Law of Moses. The lesson learned is about priorities and how to live a balanced life.
Desire for right priorities and for living balanced are two main reasons for this blog. The quest is to put God first by being accountable to you my reader, by evaluating my spiritual health on a regular basis, by recording my progress, and by passing on what I learn to you.
God has given us an amazing world and today’s technology communicates it to us. I remember when there were only ten TV channels and the Internet was not even a part of our imagination. With technology nowadays we can be in touch with others around the world with a few simple clicks.
God’s provided us with an amazing world we can learn about. We can read a book, watch sports to see individuals or teams perform at amazing levels, search the internet to find out about amazing subjects, or take in humor to soften some of the worst blows life delivers. An enjoyable part of the Internet for me is to find videos that bring God’s principles to the forefront like this one: The Great Adventure – Steven Curtis Chapman.
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. – 1 Corinthians 10:31
