As I look back on my Journey through the book of Nehemiah, I’ve learned some lessons on how to react when others don’t want you to succeed. There were some who opposed the rebuilding of the walls of Jerusalem but Nehemiah stood firm to continue the work. Our great and awesome God can frustrate the plots of our enemies and give us a plan that helps carry out and finish the good work He has for us.
Nehemiah led out of love for the people. He was angry at the rulers and followed through with reform. A leader like Nehemiah articulates the right things to do and suddenly gains a following so that the right things get done. In studying Nehemiah, I’ve learned that in order to succeed in any project that brings positive change, the desire to complete it has to be greater than the fear brought on by those trying to stop it.
I’m looking forward to going further into my journey as I use the reading plan below.
Nehemiah 7-8

How do you order your time with the Lord? On what basis?
Nehemiah 9:16-38

Determine the pattern which historically characterizes the relationship between God and the Israelites. How does this pattern correspond with the relationship you have with God? Will you unequivocally commit yourself to God today? Why?

Knowing the way of God and going His way is extremely important because it builds momentum for each day. By putting things in order, small things become big things and doors are opened. The reading plan above keeps me on track with daily Bible study and sharing the Good News. I want to thank each of you for keeping me accountable to being focused on God and following through by sharing about each block of reading.

“in order to succeed in any project that brings positive change, the desire to complete it has to be greater than the fear brought on by those trying to stop it.” With God there is no fear, so working in his will ensures success. This is such a good reminder. Be blessed this day.
