A MOTHER’S INVESTMENT STRATEGY
SURVIVING TURBULENT TIMES
MOTHERS INVEST IN:
1. MAKING THE MINUTES COUNT

conscience, just as my ancestors did. Night and day I constantly
remember you in my prayers.”
2 Timothy 1:3 (NLT)
“Be careful then how you live, not as unwise people but as wise, making
the most of the time, because the days are evil.” Ephesians 5:15-16 (NRSV)
WORDS
ATTITUDES
ACTIONS
2. RELATIONSHIP
PRINCIPLES.
“I long to see you again, for I remember you in my prayers, for I
remember your tears as we parted. And I will be filled with joy when we
are together again.”
1 Timothy 1:4(NLT)
“Think of ways to encourage one another to outbursts of love and good
deeds.” Hebrews 10:24 (NLT)
3. GUIDANCE FOR LIFE.

mother, Eunice, and your grandmother, Lois.” 2 Timothy 1:5(NLT)
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your
strength. Always remember these commands I give you today. Teach
them to your children, and talk about them when you sit at home and
walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” Deuteronomy 6:5-7 (NCV)
SPIRITUALITY
PRACTICALITY
SELF-C0NTROL
4. COURAGE IN TURBULENT TIMES.
“This is why I remind you to fan into flames the spiritual gift God gave
you when I laid my hands on you. For God has not given you a spirit of
fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self disciplines.” 2 Timothy 1:6-7 (NLT)

We can make the minutes count by preparing now at saying the right things to those that will come after us like our children or youth. Prepare with God’s word, personal experience, and the wisdom that comes from people that have been there like our older folks.
