Bless Within the Mess

Jonah said: “In my distress I called to the Lord, and he answered me. From deep in the realm of the dead I called for help, and you listened to my cry.” – Jonah 2:2

Just as Jonah was swallowed by the great fish as discussed in “Help To Pull Through and Press On”, we too can feel overwhelmed by the burdens of life – whether struggles at work, challenges at home, or personal hardships that seem too great to bear. Yet, Jonah’s story reminds us that no situation is beyond God’s power. No matter how deep we sink, God is bigger than the “big fish” that threatens to consume us. His salvation and mercy are always within reach, and through faith, we can trust that He will carry us through. Jonah’s experience encourages us to rely on God’s strength, knowing that He is our ultimate deliverer.

The difficulties that occur in life wreak havoc on us. The small stuff can add up to equal one big issue. Like the song This Is The Stuff by Francesca Battistelli, God can use our difficulties and within our mess God can bless. All we need to do is trust and obey.
