Refrain From Mundane

For as the soil makes the sprout come up and a garden causes seeds to grow, so the Sovereign Lord will make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations. – Isaiah 61:11

The lessons from God’s word nourishes the garden of our soul. As pointed out in “Receiving Abundant Blessings”, the picture being painted into our mind from Isaiah 61 is one of wisdom, direction, abundance, and eternal joy. We are put into a condition conducive to receiving the blessings that only God can give.

The world wants to tell us we are missing out on good times, pleasure, and excitement. Like weeds, this thinking stunts our growth. One idea brought out was a way to transform mundane tasks into joyful experiences by internalizing the rhythm of the Father’s heart.

By listening to gospel and Christian music, we can internalize and sharpen spiritual weapons in our mind that can destroy the enemy. This day with God, listen to the song In the Hands of God by Newsboys. The lyrics become a part of our soul as we get into the rhythm and beat of the Father’s heart.
