Keeping the Body and Mind Healthy

Yesterday, I wrote about how Daniel was true to God and practiced a disciplined life. He worked hard and did what God wanted him to do; keeping his body and mind healthy. We then saw that this resulted in God blessing Daniel with great success.

How can we surrender our whole body, mind, and soul to the Lord? One thing we did for working on health habits at the place I work is called a sixty day challenge. There were a few challenges the company set out for the employees. Challenges like drinking eight glasses of water per day, walking 15 minutes longer per day than what we normally did, using the stairs and not the elevator, and parking at a spot away from the building.

This day with God, let us look at our habits and set out now to surrender all to Him. Here is a good song to inspire us today: I Surrender All – Oslo Gospel Choir.

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. – Psalm 51:10

  1. People feel that life in the word is so complicated and unfulfiling, but the simplicity of it all is just astounding. Eat right and excercise. Take in the word and incorporate it in your life. Everything else just allows his mighty hands to put your life in place.
