In this passage, Jesus returns to Capernaum and heals a paralytic. He is demonstrating instead of just speaking words. It’s how you live, give, and love that speak and teach. Those that live out what they say or teach inspire us to be better people. They are channels that lead others to the qualities of Christ.
As I read the passage this morning, it reminds me of a song. Here is the link to a video: How You Live – Point of Grace. My hope is that it inspires you as you spend this day with God.
How would you answer the question of Jesus in verse 5? Think of ideas to help mesh what you believe with what you do. Pray that you demonstrate to others the power of Christ working through you.
